Last of this series of 4 B&Ws of the Potomac.

In winter the Potomac carries huge amounts of water, snow and ice as it crashes through the rocks at Great Falls, Maryland. The B&W seems to bring out the frigid conditions and the power of the river better than color does.

Hello Alan,
Your series of the mighty Potomac was very interesting and beautiful, the B&W conversion displayed it in a different twist. I believe I liked (Potomac in Flood #2) the best. This shot showing the icicles is pretty too, and I'm really glad you included the color version as well. Hopefully as the warm weather slowly arrives you will have many opportunities to get out and capture some more exciting nature shots. TFS.
