Monarch (Danaus plexippus)
I don't see many of these butterflies, but every now and then one showes up. As we move toward fall, with cooler night temperatues, we are seeing far fewer total numbers of butterflies.

This is a top notch image of one of my favorite butterflies. The detail is very good and the colors are bright and vivid. Well done!

what a nice capture of pretty Monarch. I have not seen this species in nature, but I saw Plain Tiger from same genus. Both of them very beatiful butterflies with colorful wings.
your shot is great with focus, POV/DOF and fantastic colored BG. purple flowers also beautiful. nicely composed and presented. thanks for sharing, best wishes
