Variegated Fritillary (Euptoieta claudia)
With the summer waning, we seem to see more of what some people call the brown butterfly. Yesterday I saw two or three at one time on our butterfly bush.

Hello Paul, a beautiful butterfly in an attractive pose, but maybe just a tad soft on focus. I noticed your Monarch was 1/690 of a second and this one is only 1/90 of a second exposure, so this might be the reason.
Love the composition and bright vivid colors. Nice work!
