[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo this past weekend while hiking near to my home. At the time, I wished that the tree fall was not ubstructing the water view, but it does add some photo interest to the image.

Hello Paul,
I know what your saying about the fallen tree being right in the way, I have felt the same way many times. I think we sometimes expect all of our images have to be twig, leaf, grass, boulder etc...free, in order for the shot to look attractive.
I remember reading critiques over the years where someone pointed out that if a certain thing was first removed the photo would be much nicer. I'm with you on this one, I think it does add a bit of interest to the overall shot. I believe it is called reality. A beautiful scene just as it is!!
