I have been out of state as well as country lately visiting two of my daughters, and therefore havent had much time to get on site to critique, let alone post any new images.

I really don't feel right posting if I don't take the time and energy to critique others, but since I am leaving for another weeks vacation on Sunday, I wanted to at least post this pretty little bird before I take off again.

This shot was taken in Broken Arrow Oklahoma while I was visiting my newest grandson (Jackson) who is now our number eighth grandchild. The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is the state bird of Oklahoma and is definitely a beautiful sight to see while inflight.

This particular bird kept busy feeding about five of it's young, that were just starting to learn how to fly on their own. Both male and female look similar, so I'm not sure if this is a male or a female.

Hello Ron,
What a beautiful bird! And the shot has been taken in nature and not a bird-parc. This flycatcher looks quite exotic to me, I wouldn't have palced it in the States, but rather in some more Southern country.
Fine presentation too with the cross buit by the branch in the back and the bird.
Have a nice vacation
kind regards

Sorry that I have been absent from TN for a while but it is work related issues. Within a month my life will be normal again, . . . I hope.
