[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I always get an irresistible impulse to photograph these little aerial acrobats whenever the opportunity arises.

I was sitting on the front porch of my daughters in-laws home when these two male hummers decided to put on a show. I quickly grabbed my camers and took a few shots as the sun was setting.

I am not 100% positive of the ID, but given their location and the hint of purple under their chin I believe they are male Black-chinned Hummingbirds.

I am as fascinated as you are about Humming Birds' speed; unfortunately I cannot get a my books at present to check the speed they flap their wings in order to hover as they do.
