[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was out for a walk when I noticed this one on the path. I am almost 100% positive this is a wolf spider. See this wikipedia image:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wolf_spider_with_young_in_garden.jpg
It's better than mine, but of course there are plenty of images of wolf spider's better than mine.
I was using my camera's "close-up" mode, which arranges all of the settings for you.
The light was low. No tripod. I lay down on the ground to try and steady my hand.

I was disturbing her and she kept moving.

Hello Jason,

What a great thing to see!
You must have been delighted!

It is a good shot of the spider and her charges but because you were so close to the ground its difficult to get a very narrow dof. The b/g is a little distracting.
I have done a w/s for you which I hope you will find useful.
Also, the composition is better if the focal image is a little less centrally placed.

I love your enthusiasm of lying on the ground to get the image. Terrific!

Have a good day,
Bev :-)
