[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of the many fan shaped mushrooms I found as I walked the trail in Congaree National Forest in Hopkins, South Carolina. I tried to find what kind it was, but nothing I saw looked like this one.

Hi Shelly,

This looks like a Trametes versicolor, the turkey tail fungus. It is not near as pretty a specimen as this one:
Moody hand fan taken by the master of fungi! Felipe Mateo aka extramundi But, the composition is good. And, we continue to get to learn something on this wonderful site.
