Hello Jim,
This behaviour reminds me of the Black Heron in Africa that practises "canopy feeding", i.e. it uses the wings as a shade when catching fish. But perhaps the above behaviour implies something different. You're showing sharp details of this beautiful Heron in a fine pose. Excellent sharpness and I like the light hitting the inside of the wings and the colours are beautiful. Well composed too.

Great one, Jim!
I like the action of this Reddish Egret as it chases the fish in the shallow water, using its wings to shade its vision and get a better view.
Fine sharpness, lighting and composition.
