Announcer: An eerie silence has fallen upon the crowd as Froggy prepares for his final attempt in the pole-vaulting competition. Will he be able to clear 9.5 inches(24.1 cm) to beat the previous mark of 9.25 inches(23.5 cm) set by the lizard? All eyes are transfixed upon him as he contemplates the vault with an intense determination that can be seen in his expression. The excitement in the air is electrifying as the moment of truth nears....

American Green Tree Frog-male?

Info on the American Green Tree Frog

Usually there are countless numbers of these little frogs everywhere around the house during Summer but this year they are just now starting to appear. No buzzing June Bugs, few biting Mosquitos, no little Frogs, no warty Toads, no green Lizards...but an over abundance of rain. It is a strange year. Ever since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita the nature of things have been out of sync. The citrus trees still have not fully recovered. I miss the June Bugs. Ever since childhood they have been a sign of Summer...their buzzing around the outdoor lights...the sound of them crashing into the screen door...the screams of childhood sweethearts as we placed the clingy little critters in their hair :-) ...Anyway

Jim superb shot. But still I believe probably room for cropping and lighting adjustment to make/ (Just my view). Lovely POV superb positioning and great frame. Ganesh

An adorable froggy! Great color! Wonderful sharpness.
Good shot! :)

Hi Jim,
you have manage to take a very nice picture of the small frog.
Nice colours and fine light, good use of the flash.
Good details and DOF. N0 PP but I'm sure you have set the parameters to + in the camera.
Well done.

A pixle-ated pixie of a frog. He is small. I reckon that is the point. And he is green just like the real puppets:-) Colors, detail and especially story are spot on...I love the Queen. Good show old man.
Cheerful Regards

Hi Jim,

A good POV of the American Green Tree Frog, the photo has a good composition, sharpness and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jim & good morning.
Interesting composition..it looks like the frog is getting ready to perform on the green tightwire? Green frog, green wire..makes sense to me anyway :)
Or as you say, a pole vaulting frog would be a first on TN..anywhere for that matter ;)
Fun post, I like it!

Hi Jim. Fantastic shot of the little sports man frog. good detail and natural colours.a good POV .well done TFS. good notes too.

PS. did he clear the 9.5 inches ?

Bonita toma con composición acertada por la posición de la ranita y disposición de las hojas. Colores naturales. Buena luz y quizas falta algo de limpiza en la foto.
Saludos Jim y gracias por tus comentarios.
