[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another view of the Pipevine Swallowtail from a closed wing POV. I found quite a few of these colorful butterflies just sitting on the wet sand along the river banks. I'm not sure what types of minerals they were getting, but they seemed to be very content and satisfied.

It was a real challenge trying to photograph these butterflies on a flower because they continually fluttered their upper wings.

I will post an example in the WS of what many of my shots looked like, because of this continual wing fluttering motion.

Hello Ron,
I think in my opinion it is not the picture of yours to comment but what species is all about, you have mastered the photography world and also one of the top 5 contributors of TN.
Well done and TFS,
Nelson

Swallowtails are always fluttering their wings, Ron, and this one fortunately seems to stand still for your benefit. What a fabulous image you have got of it while it mud puddles!
Amazing sharpness and beautiful colors.
Thanks.
Ram

Hi Ron
I have seen these butterflies in my country too.
This one is quite sharp, showing its nice details.

Kind regards
Pedro

Hi Ron,

The butterfly is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
