I came across this expanse of marsh plants at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary on the Patuxent River inlet and initially thought I had stumbled onto a huge flock of birds. The leaves gleamed white in the sunlight.

Funny you mentioned it Alan, just from viewing your thumbnail image I thought it was an enormous flock of flamingoes:)
