Canadian Geese Reflections
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Trying out a new lens I spotted this flock of Canadian Geese standing at the water's edge. It took a moment to understand what I was looking at until I realized half of the geese were actually reflections in the Potomac River.
For those interested, this was shot with a Sigma 150-600 mm lens with 1.4x teleconvertor, from a distance I would estimate to be around 200 meters. So the equivalent focal length was actually about 336mm in this case, and then on the Nikon D7000 I used the effective focal length was about 500mm. |

Hi Alan,
The reflection's nice, composition's good, however, colors are pale, probably b/w might suit better to the image. Looking at the entire photo, I must say it's not bad, but lacking the "wow effect" - probably this is the reason why I, the 323rd viewer, am the first one who commented it. Just a personal opinion, obviously.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
