An unusual combination and parade of ducks. I am not sure of the brand name of the first in line, but he/she looks "different". Of course even subtle unseen differences occur in all of nature...and us'n humans as well...for instance Vernon Kerr, whose nature artwork I loved and tried to imitate in photo. I met him through my "framer" and we were acquaintances. Vernon's pictures are on the cover of a few old Readers Digests....He died of self inflicted gunshots after attempting to sign himself into a mental health clinic which sent him home saying nothing was wrong. So I dedicate this picture to http://vernonkerr.com/ and all bi-polar diagnosed people, because WE are different and it cannot be seen as different by the eye as in this duck in the picture. And in turn, we see nature is a different way as well.

The picture was taken at Lake Cleone which is a salt water lake only a hundred feet east of the ocean. And it was frequented by many a passing fowl. The most unusual of friends some became...In this depiction, the colors are soft due to scanning techniques but I thought it didn't bother the picture that much as to disturb the meaning of the moment I captured them. This will be the last in my series of scanned photos for a bit, as in a new season...comes change......

What a peaceful scene...everything brings to mind tranquility...the stillness of the water, the soft pinkish glow of evening...
and your dedication is perfect really...the human psyche is like that river, sometime rolling and roiling with turmoil and sometimes calm and still.

Unusual scene...I wonder where they are going in such a hurry...Nice note and photo...TFS

Hi Bob,
Lovely parade of ducks, great composition
nice trail on the water, leaving behind
well done, nice notes, TFS. Best regards/Lawhill

hello Bob

this is a nice old and souvenir picture

nice peaceful setting. focus is off a bit. good colors. nice capture with the different duck in the lead

You've captured the procession and the wake itself well. After reading your note, I can appreciate the double entendre in the title. Well said and well done. I like the symmetry of the lead duck's reflection, too. Agreed that it's a bit soft, but, yes, the image still works well. And I like the simplicity of it.

Beautiful artistic composition showing three different ducks swimming in line, Bob.
You have done a great job of scanning here. All the subtle and fine aspects of this picture are fully intact.
TFS and best regards.

Hi Bob,
Splendid shot of these syncronised swimming ducks. Looks lovely with the trailing water ripples. I like the different colours here and the serene ambience. Great POV to capture this wonderful moment and the reflection of the tree is so special. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.
