|Today as I was driving back on the road leading to Yreka from Hwy. 97 this small lake, large pond is situated as you round a corner on the right. The rushes and cattails are very beautiful as they line the entire waterway, and the White Pelicans are a seldom seen bird where I live in Washington State.|

Great capture of this small flock of White Pelicans. I'm always amazed to see these birds in-land away from the sea. We have White Pelicans here in Alberta too. I saw my first flock around Easter. I like the way this image is put together with the mirror like water, the pelicans and pine trees in the background. There are lots of nice colours and textures.
