Warning: Turkey Crossing
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|While on our way to the eagles, my friend and I were stopped by this roadblock. I leaned out the passenger window to take this shot since we discovered that these birds, although wild, aren't above pecking and chasing people. There was a bit of distance and it isn't as sharp as I'd like - I even hesitated before posting it, but then figured y'all know far more than I do about turkeys in the wild and I could use a few hints.|
Ready, willing, and listening to ideas for how to get a better shot. :)
(I won't learn if I don't post 'crappy' shots too.)

This is absolutely super...I have seen this many times and have a few photos..but yours is very good. I love the way you portray it in an almost pano style. Great work Kathy!
Love how these guys are stepping in unison. Great stuff! :)
And it's definitely NOT crappy!!!!!!!
You know how many folks would be in hog heaven (or turkey nirvana) to have captured some of the shots you've captured!
No apologies needed here. A good showing of a very difficult shot. You brought it off very nicely with the panoramic view and each bird being in full sight. Nicely Done.

Nice capture, wild turkeys are hard to get good details on, the best results come when they are facing the sun then you can get that incredible plummage colors. Here it looks like you had very little light to work with. Great job Kathy.
nice snowy capture, TFS Ori
