[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This collared lizard was presented in another view on Treklens. Please refer to the natural history write-up on that presentation. This was a lot of fun to photograph. Although it took some maneuvering to acquire a series of shots, she cooperated quite nicely. Her length is about 12 inches from nose to tip of tail (estimate). CS4 included cropping and very minor adjustments with Curves. I had not tried Active D-Lighting to remove some of the shadows ... that may help. My camera was set on "Cloudy" and it was a bright sunny day ... Whooops!

Hello Michael,
This is a great shot of a Collard Lizard. The detail is excellent and I really like the low POV. The subject is in fine focus with just enough blurred BG to make him stand out. The rock in the foreground with the colorful growth on it is an added bonus to the overall scene. Well done!!
