[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this old fir tree, eaten away by ?? I'm not sure, woodpeckers maybe? Although most of the holes were near the ground, so I really don't know. I just found it interesting to view. I loved all the textures and colors. Found on the Pacific Crest Trail, between Herman Creek and the Bridge of the Gods.

Hi Lori, that is a lot of holes - is the tree still alive? Do woodpeckers usually made such a mess like this?
It's a very interesting image - and you're right about the textures and colours - well done
