Maybe Julie can help me with the ident with her new wildflower book, I haven't been able to find this one yet. Another of the beautiful flowers found on our hike up the Eagle Creek Trail.
Update: I found out this information about this flower.
Geranium robertianum - Herb-Robert geranium
Herb-Robert geranium prefers shady, moist areas. It grows in a small clump about 12 inches high and wide.
Foliage and stems are very pubescent. Foliage is deeply dissected, though the leaves are not typical of other geraniums (dovefoot and Carolina geranium) in this family.
Both stems and foliage have a strong and nauseating smell. The smell is not disgusting like rotten eggs, but it is more of a strong chemical smell.
Flowers usually occur in pairs. Flowers have 5 petals, 10 stamens, and 1 style. Petals are pink to magenta, with white streaks.
