|This is a view of one of the Columbia Gorge's wonderful scrubby Oak trees that seem to show up on almost every trail. This is looking west from Angel's Rest viewpoint, gazing towards Portland, Oregon in the background. |
I think the oaks don't get very tall because of the strong winds in the Columbia Gorge. I loved this one in particular for it's character and charm.
