Hi Niek,
Nice clear capture although the sun is almost at its zenith, the clear blue sky and POV are great features of this scene. I like the way you’ve composed the dwarf tree, the details seem sharp throughout. A great variation of natural colours too. A very inviting scene, especially for reptiles:) like me:)
TFS and have a nice WE!
Cheers,
Bayram

Hello Niek,
Even though you have 'cooled it down' with the PP work to deal with the harsh light, I can still feel the heat and dryness of this shot of the Oregonian desert.
The composition and POV are excellent and the subdued colours look natural for this environment.
Thanks and have a good weekend,
Ivan

Eye pleasing composition and great dept of field, Niek. A bit cool white balance in my opinion, but obviously thats controversial issue. Good image !

Hi Niek,
nice to see a posting from you, it's good to see something from you AND Horia in one day :o) Indeed a classic desert scene, in which you can really feel the dryness and the heat from the blazing overhead sun. Despite the lack of 'interesting' lighting, you still managed to create an appealing composition using the Juniper wisely as a FG interest, the small patches of scrub adding extra elements and helping to create depth. Technically well done.

Hi Niek,
nicely composed with clarity of these well distributed shrubs. The dramatic perspective really make the landscape so full of impact. The blue sky and the brown dry trees.
I like noticing far far away view of the mountains too.
Thay are sharp all over.

Foozi

Hallo Niek
I like the dull desert colours captured in this scene very much. It is prominent and true to nature. This must have been a beautiful sight to see in real. The lonesome tree in the somewhere far away in the desert, makes this scene come alive and adds extra magic to the scenery. The mountains far in the distance gives great feeling to the wide open space f the area. It was a pleasure to stop by. Best regards.

Hi Nick,
Long time no see. : )
Wanted to say hi.
I really like the composition of this shot. : )
I am not good with words to explain why I like the composition of a scenery shot, and cannot analyze it as Evelynn does, so I will not try. : P
I will just venture to say that the clump of trees in the foreground really anchors the shot, and the subtle diagonal lines (created by the change of vegetation) on both sides converge in the horizon in a very pleasant way.
I hope you are well. Are you taking any trips this year?

Dear Niek,
I wish I had a juniper in a pot as nice as the giant Bonsai in your photo!
Very impressive capture of this barren desert.
I apologise for not visiting your portfolio for a long time. But we moved to another town, and I had to deal with 170 packing-boxes...
Thank you for bringing to TrekNature your work; I really appreciate it.
I wish you a good day and a nice week-end
Warm Wishes
Ingrid

Nice perspective Niek. Everything converges. The tree looks dry and getting it's moisture from the blue sky. Nice. TFS Trevor
