Salmon fishing

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Yesterday on my drive through parts of North Central Oregon I passed the confluence of the Deschutes and White Rivers. Here along the river are the Warm Springs Native American famous fishing platforms where they use large handled nets to catch salmon as they attempt to leap over the rapids and falls. In the workshop is a closer look at the platform and one of the residents of the Warm Springs Tribe fishing from the platform.

You do know this is history, geology and nature all blended in....Many of my relatives were in this area from 1890- today....my genealogy in America is strong...and just be chance I was looking at some old homesteads not terribly far from this photo and wondering what it looked like...my guess was right...thanks so much. You are a blessing at times my friend! And I REALLY love the Kodak film quality which you give this...You have a unique style!
