Blue Beauties

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
We found lots of these blue beauties on the Eagle Creek Trail in Oregon. There was a wide variety of wild flowers out that day and taking photos of them gave us a break from our 8 hour hike. I couldn't identify these, still waiting on my wildflower book to show up. |

My first impression was of Meconopsis, the Himalayan Blue Poppy...it has the right coloured petals and some otherr characteristics, but I'm not convinced. In fact I'm pretty certain that its something else.
Hope you find the answer. Its a beautiful shot.

Whatever it is, it's a very pretty, stunning blue. The bug's a bonus Julie too. It sort of looks like an orchid type flower. But I don't know. Good find and well done.
Pretty blue Julie. I like the shape of the flower. Almost has the same shape an a cymbidium orchid. Very good OOF BG. Nice shot. Thanks
If my eyes are seeing right, and this photo turned out beautifully! None of the photos I took of this flower turned out at all!!, this is a Upland Larkspur. For more info: Look Here
