[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Latourell Falls is my favorite of the Columbia River Gorge waterfalls. Based on the insane crowds, tour buses and the roadside view, I'd guess that Multnomah Falls is by far the most popular. Like Multnomah Falls, most of the falls in the gorge tumble over rocks at least once, but not Latourell Falls, which falls straight down 250 feet...very impressive!! The falls are quite powerful and produce a lot of spray. I had to keep my camera and lens covered the whole time as I was setting up, and then lift the cover off just as I was snapping the shot and then immediately cover it again.
