I spotted this lovely rainbow over the pine trees left standing after last summer's wildfire that raged through this area just west of Mosier, Oregon. I was on the hunt for the Bald Eagle's nest that was in this area before the fire, but alas it apparently didn't survive the fire.
I did however see a bald eagle a bit further to the west from this area, so perhaps the rainbow of hope has survived and they've simply moved to a different area not affected by the fire.
The area is full of pine and oak trees, and in the spring many different varieties of wildflowers, some found only in the Columbia River Gorge. |

Hello Lori,
You post a very beautiful landscape image. The colors are gorgeous and the pine on the right hand side makes a nice framing for such a wonderful natural setting. The rainbow is an added bonus to this fine photo!! TFS. Great notes!
