[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo on a hike with my daughters to Elk Meadow on Mount Hood. The meadow was filled with these lovely purple flowers, I'm not sure if they're Alpine Asters or Fleabane, but they were everywhere. The meadow is protected and the trail follows the perimeter around the area in a 1.2 mile circle with views of Mount Hood on it's northern side. The view of Mount Hood here shows off the east side of the Mountain with Cooper Spur on the right, and the Mount Hood Meadows Ski/Snowboard area on the left.

Amazing landscape, Lori.
I love the field in flower here.

I think this is a nicely exposed, sharp image, Lori. The crop looks perfect to me. I like the sharp flowers in the foreground. The depth of field is excellent and the colors look very natural.

Hi Lori
Wonderful landscape, excellent composition great DOF and wonderful colours and sharpness

As soon as I saw this I could tell it was yours, Lori. (Mostly the location gave you away). A nice straightforward shot that is well done. I love the wildflowers in the fg. My only suggestion would be to take a couple steps to the right, and try to get a bit more separation between the tree Mount Hood.

Hi, Lori
Very nice shot of the meadow. I love the view with Mt. Hood in the back ground. Im going to try to get up there this weekend. It looks like the time of year to go.
Excellent color and sharpness. Very good job.

Hello Lori,
A lovely composition, contrasting all the flowers with the snowcapped summit!
Good lead-in by the meadow, attractive rich colours...
A well composed presentation with fine details!

Hi Lori,
You did a very beautiful shot. The sharpness and colors are really vivid. I like the deep blue sky and the contrast of white snow. The purple flowers in foreground are lovely. Nice shot Lori.
