[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I drove around the flanks of Mt. Hood from Hood River to Zig Zag and captured a few images. This particular image was taken with a haze filter, a #17 haze filter, a polorizer, and a gray neutral density #2 filter. I set the EV level at -2 stops and pushed the contrast 2 stops. This was also taken at ISO 200.
The image was taken from the Lolo Pass Road that leads to two of my favorite hiking trails on Mt. Hood, Yoakum Ridge and McNeil Point. today the road was closed about a mile from this vantage point as there is still an enormous amount of snow for May to be melted off. Wildflowers will peak about the third week of August this year, normally it is during the middle of the month. if we do not get a lot of hot weather before then, and if it doesn't snow.

Hi Steve,
fantastic sight of a spectacular landmark in excitingly refreshing backlight light.
Lush vegetation in dramatic contrast to those loads of apparently fresh snow.
Thank you for that brand new report from one a most beautiful and widely undistubed place.
Not even any of those scatches in the sky caused airplanes. Lucky Oregon.
With thanks, and best regards,

Hi Steven,

Amazing scenery! Stunning vista and location. Mt Hood looks very impressive and majestic. Well composed photo, well done! Tfs.

Hello Steven!
Great panoramic view and very nice composition of photo. It must be a great feeling to see such place personaly :)
Colours anre very vivid but I think that picture was sharpnes a little too much :)
Greetings from Poland,

Hi Steven,
A breathtaking few of a mountian I hope to see in about six weeks. I love the technicolor look of the photo, especially in the FG trees and sky.

Bonsoir Steven,
