|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|We found a number of these subalpine to alpine asters on Mt. Hood today. My sister, her youngest daughter, and I hiked from the Cloud Cap campground to the top of Cooper Spur, which is 8500 ft. elevation. The summit of Mt. Hood is 11,245 ft. |
This aster can be subalpinme or alpine. They are found in the Olympic mountains, the Cascades, and Mt. Rainier. They bloom July-August and are 4-10" tall.
