[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken in Pacific City, Oregon. This stretch of Oregon Coast line is very similiar to parts of California. The rock in the photo is called Haystack Rock. This part of the beach is full of surfers in dry suits and kayaking. This is also home to one of the best Micro Breweries in the Pacific Northwest. Nothing like have a Micro Brewed beer and watching the sunset. Pacific City is also the starting point of a wonderful drive called Three Capes Scenic Drive. A very beautiful place no matter what time of year. As you can see this photo was taken in February and although the beach looks deserted, earlier in the day it was full of people just having fun.

A lovely sunset Bettina,
The details are nice, clear and sharp.
Good colours, lighting and exposure.POV is spot on.

Hi Bettina,
What a super sunset photo. The colors in the sky are beautifully captured and the composition is perfect with the rock on the 1/3 line. There is this little piece of hair just below the rock, but then can be cloned out.

Hi Bettina,
Yep, a few local micro brews, a very comfortable lounge chair, and my camera on a triod with a long enough cable release to keep me kicked back. That would be a beautiful thing. Awesome sunset/seascape! Perfect composition and framing on this one. Great job picking up the reflected colors in the water.

It's a beautiful sunset photo. Perfect colors and composition. A very beautiful place and amazing rock watching the sunset. Love clouds and reflected colors.
