|I found this Balsamroot on the trail to Stein's Pillar. I just posted a photo of the pillar on Trekearth if you're interested in seeing what it looks like.|
The area was very rocky, with huge Pine trees all around. The trail to the Pillar went in and out of the forest, and these balsamroot flowers dotted the hillsides all around. I also saw larkspur, phlox, rairie stars, and indian paintbrush.
