|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I took this photo on my 21st wedding anniversary hike at Silver Falls State Park. I had never seen this kind of Fungi before, and I couldn't identify it either. I'm sure someone here knows the name. |
I thought it was beautiful, almost like a rose with petals all around, although the color was pretty muted, almost beige.

los tonos son excelentes y bello pov,
a agrada este trabajo,
I feel I should know what these are,but I can't say for sure. There are a few white spored fungi that have a similar appearance and I don't know any of them very well.
Pleurotus springs top mind, but I'm sure Felipe or Clive would know for sure.
I get the feeling this was a hurried shot.
I think it would have looked better if you had got one whole clump in frame rather than bits and pieces. A warmer white balance and lower EV would have brought out truer colour and more detail too I think.
I've done a wee workshop to show an alternative view.
Hope you don't mind.
Nice capture Lori!
The white/pink Fungi is quite interesting to look at!
