Oregon's "Outback" can be very dry. The Cascade Mountains prevent moisture laden clouds from the Pacific Ocean from bringing rain to the dry interior on the eastern side. The western side of the mountains is lush and green with rainforests and the eastern side quite arid. In spring however even the eastern side can be green and have enough water for the thousands of migrating water fowl that pass through here.

Hello Evelynn,
What a panorama landscape with excellent DOF, POV, real and beautiful colour and details
well composed and well seen
thanks for sharing

Hello Evelynnn,
Beautiful vista...
Good colours.

Outstanding panoramic view...POV and DOF are excellent...Exceptionally well done...TFS

the sky is most wonderful. I shall investigate this circular polarizer. I would have thought such and effect could be done by firmware in the camera but apparently nothing equals the quality of true glass. This might be one of the secrets of your superb work...beyond that of course your many years in the art world.

Hi Evelynn,
Looks like you are getting a huge range of photos with two main colors. Yellow and Blue. First the dessert and now the grass. It does make for a very powerful composition and does contrast perfectly. I like the way the grasses are pointing toward the horizon. It takes my eye into the photo.

Fantastic capture Evelynn, very good composition with good balance. Nice detail in the clouds and wonderful tones and textures in the long grass. Very good work.

Hello Evelynn

These shots are wonderful,it's like you can reach up and touch the clouds.I really like the perspective and POV.The colours are well saturated. The reflections in the water are beautiful.TFS

I like to see you usually that Sigma to full advantage. This is a wonderful demonstration of the UWA. Good composition with sky and brown grass. It reminds me of here on the prairies (which precipitation-wise is pretty close). My only nit is that I wish you had a bit more obvious fg, though, I will admit, I wasn't able to do with this lens yesterday -- I kept trying to put some wildflowers in the fg and they kept receeding into the mg. I may have to look at some of signal-womb's to see how he does it.
P.S. I have had your shots of the Tetons n the back of my mind for almost a year now. So I am making plans for a quick early fall trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone. I think Sept 22ish will work best. When do you reckon is the best date for fall colors? (I'll go back and look at your shots).

Everytime I visit my daughter who lives in Prineville, Oregon, I'm reminded of the arid conditions east of the Cascades. I find it difficult to capture the beauty of the area, but you've done a great job here. Even the sagebrush looks good!
Wonderful cloudy sky, deep saturated colors, HOW beautiful you've made it look! Well done.

I agree the water in this beautiful scenic are an excellent attribute to this already exciting image and the reflection makes it even all the better. Super duper results Evelynn. :)

I want to study your style and technique because your landscapes are amazing! They are like paintings...realistic paintings with perfect lines. :)
I love the concept here too. I work in the water conservation field so I appreciate water.

Hello Evylnn good use of the wide and polariser fine colours and exposure for the sky. tfs rgds Necip.
