Hi Evelyn...pleasing landscape with the water framed just nicely by the reeds. Good range of tone with detail in the sky. Like how you've not centred the larger expanse of the water but kept it slightly off centre. Best, Brat.

It looks a lot like you used the filter...but contrast is only difference. Either way it comes across fine. And now I am having bad pains in my legs..with my new camera and lens sitting here it is frustrating. The filter you use makes a big difference. I am so anxious to learn this new technique to me, which you use so well! You are a good teacher for me. I hope I can help you some day!

I like really the composition with this very quiet and somhow poetical foreground. It is a picture to let your thoughts escape and hesitate between earth and heaven.

Thanks, Evelynn! It really does work for me. If you've noticed, I struggle getting fg with that UWA lens, too, so it's not that I don't like your work, I just find myself noticing some aspects that I'm struggling with. I think Steve (signal-womb) is the master of the fg, mg, and bg.

Hi Evelynn,
I do agree with Mike, this lens does like strong FG interest. It is just how you mix up all the elements to get it to work.
I think I am going to run into the same problem as you when it come to the filter used. I did make some notes, but most of the time was too lazy as well. Great work on the details and exposure again. It looks like you got a third color in this shot as well.

Hi Evelynn, despite the lack of waterfowl or because of it,this photo speaks to me.It says that here in this place you'll find peace of mind and things are calm and somewhat timeless in nature.I like the muted hues of colour in this photo and the sky reflected in the still water.You have a knack for making the desert look so inviting in so many of your photos that one feels like being there.Tfs this mellow looking scene. Evelynn, this shot is perfect. The horizon is perfect, lighting is perfect as well, very nice clouds and exposure again perfect. Nothing distracting and no blown highlights. Very awesome photo.

Hello Evelynn.
I'm sorry I havn't kept up with your posts lately. I'm always pleasantly surprised when I visit your gallery and see your latest images. There are several elements I like about this shot. The reeds, the pond leading the eye into the image, the soft, subtle colours, the reflection of the sky and of course that dramatic cloud brewing in the b/ground. Very beautiful. Well done.
