Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area

Wind-sculpted sand dunes towering to 500 feet above sea level provide numerous recreational opportunities including off-highway vehicle use, hiking, photography, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding and camping. Visitors enjoy thick ¡§tree islands¡¨, open dunes, marsh-like deflation plains and beaches.

From Florence to Coos Bay, the Oregon Dunes NRA extends for 40 miles along the Oregon Coast. Formed by the ancient forces of wind, water and time, these dunes are like no others in the world. These are the largest expanse of coastal sand dunes in North America and they hold numerous opportunities for adventure and solitude.

This one is taken at John Dellenback Dunes, accessable by 15 munite hike from Eel Creek Campground where we camped.

Dear Way!

I like your picture very much. It has a great impact on me and awakes emotions. A picture that awakes emotions is a good picture! I believe it is the subtle combination of many factors that make it outstanding: the composition with the delicate lines in the foreground that lead into the picture, the warm light and the sensual shapes are the main ones.

Kind regards

Markus

Hi way. This picture is simple but so beautiful. I find it relaxing to look at. Amazing detail and such rich colours. I like the rippels in the sand. Very well taken TFS.
Nick..

Wonderful shot, Way, I like the silent mood in this shot - and of course the warm light.
You captured it with a good low POV against the blue sky, very well done, thanks
greetings

Hi Way,
I've been pretty stupid. I haven driven straight by this area while I should have made a quick stop and tried something beautiful as you've produced here. It is beautiful in any way. The stark color, the many details and the simplicity make it all mighty impressive. A clear sky is certainly best of this type of photo.
TFS,
Niek

Bonjour Way,

Hello way.
Your collection of nature's abstract is truly impressive. Nicely captured simplicity with vivid contrast and details in this composition. Top class work and thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Jusni
