A short trip for me out to Turnbull to see if spring signs are showing and it appears only the quick eye and the all knowing can tell....but I see it and I feel it and I smell it in the air....there is a certain glow about the trees... almost an aura. I am very impressed with how well these Aspens took the hard snows and long days without sun. Some smaller ones in the center are growing out of a frozen wetland, but along the edges I can see it is slowly melting..nothing to walk on that's for sure.

I love to pull tricks out of my bag...one is the Leica which as many know has no way of 'seeing' what it or I take. I have to guess at all the settings and such as the LCD is broken and I never know what I get until I arrive home and on the computer....but rarely do images from the Leica come out bad.

Hello Bob,

You are right about the image of your camera! Image quality is great and the tress and perches are so sharply shown. Vrey good details of the landscape can be observed. You have also captured a very fine light. The delicat grey color tones you have been able to render makes the photo very special.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Ciao Bob, lovely composition with splendid spring signs, wonderful light, very well done, ciao Silvio

I agree... and the Leica lenses are phenomenal. I honestly believe, however, that many of those images we do not see are inspired by One who does... :)

Hola Sr. Bob.
You have a beautiful photo here. I can see why.
Great photographer and excellent camera. Very good combination.
Saludos
Luis52.

Hi Bob
Thats a remarkable result for a 'blind'shot.
I guess Beethoven composed music when he was deaf,so why not.
Avery sharp shot of this frozen wetland.
No skating here, unless you are a very very thin person.
Great work!
Cheers
Steve

This is strange, Bob, this looks like here except we still have snow, thick layer of snow! I like the twirling tree at left, the branches are swirling in such an amazing movement. I like the straight lines the trees make in the pond, giving the picture a texture. Plus, I really love your Leica without the LCD, I can feel how much fun you have with it and were it not from your experience in photographing with SRL for so long, it wouldn't give such a result. Thank you!

Francine

Hi Bob.
What a clear shot f a nice place. I am impressed with transparency of the image and clearness of the colours a lot as well as with superb DOF and exact details/sharpness of the entire scene. Perfect presentation of the of the season and its spirit. Well done. My kind regards.
Alexei.

Hello Bob,
i am happy to read your kind comment to my picture, thank you, Bob;
a great view of "The Cusp of Spring", i like the title "cusp" from the Latin language "cuspide" "point of a lance", very good sharpnesss and colours in a nice composition.

Hello Bob,
Great shot, especially since you couldn't see what you were aiming at!! Looks like you are finally getting some well deserved spring like weather!
I was out a little bit yesterday but didn't see anything to shoot, it's been pretty cold out lately and nothing seems to be moving about. We had our yearly Mission Conference all last week so I haven't had much time to even get on the site.

Hello Bob,
A typical "transition-picture"! Not spectacular, but interesting, especially if we look closer..fine colour-palette, and this special light which brings Spring. Well taken tree-curtain, not an easy subject. I also like a lot your horizontal framing.
I wish you a very nice weekend
Best regards
Anne
