Jane and I took a short ride today and visited one of our favorite stomping grounds...near the "woods" if you will. After all, this area is full of rolling plains and grasslands. The woods are a vital part but so small as compared to 2 hours north in my wilderness where snows still lay on tree tops at 4000 feet.

Certain areas of Turnbull Wildlife Refuge turn into wetlands for 2-3 months during the true spring and today the sun came out and warmed very well so we went to see out Aspens as they stand in what was ice and now is water. aspens love water..They are used as a symbolic marking place now and in history as a place to dig a well...I would wish them on deserts....

Today I had the video camera and a polarizing filter and I shot a number of pictures..Perhaps tomorrow I shall show you in video on how wonderful and quiet this place is...a place frozen not in ice but in time...a time of all good things where one can forget all of the problems of the world..this is my natural world.

Hello Bob,
This is a great shot of the Aspens and their wonderful reflections. Your right, it looks like a very peaceful place in which you can spend time just relaxing and dreaming dreams!

Hi Bob,

This sounds like my kind of place, just love being in the wetlands close to nature; those Aspens really do stand out.

Our gum trees are turning Red at the moment with the onset of autumn, amazing colour when the sun hits them amongst the green of the rain forest, apologise blabbering on.

Excellent reflection on the still waters, t.f.s

Cheers Rick :)

Hi Bob.
I am very pleased with your touching comments always. And I am so pleased with watching your wonderful shot. This one reminds me scenes of Russian nature. However, I am amazed with subject and quality of the image. Framing is brilliant. Transparency and clarity of the image are fantastic. Crystal clearness of the image impresses the imagination. Bravo and many thanks for all.

Ciao Bob, fascinating composition with fantastic reflections, splendid light, very well done, ciao Silvio

hello Bob

here when the snow melt on the woods it became
like on your photo, excellent photo with the reflections
of the trees on the water, TFS

Hi Bob,

The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The trees are framing well the wetland. The point of view is showing the mirror effect in the water. A scenery which is giving a peaceful sensation. Have a nice day.
