"Whoa!"... as in STOP!

When we drove past this pocket of amazing fall color that is what I shouted to my husband/driver.... "Whoa! Stop! Let me out!" I had a great time, filled up a card, drained a battery....

We were in this same area earlier in the season last fall and I posted some shots from there. This time different bushes/trees were at their peak. I was just stunned and mesmerized. It is a very small area where conditions must be just right for fall colors. I suspect I will find myself there again next year!

Hi Evelynn,
This is stunning!
Great POV looking between the Birch trees to the smaller yellow "flames "in BG. The contrast between the white and black trunks amongst the red maples is a glorious view.
Very well done!
Richard

Hi Evelynn,
Wow! This is a really exciting image to view. The fall color layers of the tree leaves and the black and white tree trunk are mesmorizing. Definitely a good call on your part to stop(Whoaaa!) and photograph this splendid scenery. :)

Hello Evelynn

What a splash of colour. The frame is filled with autumn!
The vertical, birch trees make a lovely effect, and the colourful foliage is striking.
Sharp focus and details.
Another shot that would lend itself nicely to an impressionist's canvas.

Hello Evelynn,

Many thanks, Ulla

Wow, wonderful colours and beautifully seen and taken.
Looking through the trunks of the trees is a great composition.

Far out

You guys get the most amazing autumn scenes. We don't see anything like this in Australia. Indeed its a most amazing collection of colours.
Good sharpness and obviously well composed; a fantastic scene.

HI Evelyn,
The tree trunks add a nice touch to the beautiful colors! This is what the trees look like where I live.

Absolutely spectacular colors.
Love the white tree trunks with the black knots creating such a riotous pattern against the BG of the fall foliage.
Very striking composition.
The different textures are very striking against the full palette of fall colors.
Beautiful.

I posted a workshop photo. Eve's picture is of Aspen.

Hi Evelynn.
First of all this is true Russian landscape too and so lovely for me despite that we have not such forests in my region. Amazing combination of the various trees, colours. Reproduction of the birch trunks is superb as well as the other colour details.
I like vertical cropping and crisp sharpness of the entire image. Bravo.
Alexei.
I'll be back.

Once again...
Colours, colours, colours,....
Beautiful painting!
Superb compo!
Love it
