Just for fun....

I was attracted to these three bands of color and thought there must be a flag that is similar. Well the flag of Cameroon has green, red and yellow vertical stripes. It also has a central yellow star, but this is close. : )

The yellow is quaking aspen. The red is vine maple, and the green I think is douglas fir but I could be wrong.

Hi Evelynn

Great shot - well seen - it looks like a natural version of a flag. Simple shot - but highly effective.

Hi Evelynn

If i managed to see a vertical flag in your other shot, here everyone can :) A very well spotted scene and a well taken photo.
Very beautiful colors here...i really like the way they contrast with each other. A big plus in mu opinion is represented by the very different shapes of the leaves that make the 3 colors...they are really completely opposite and add to the separation of the frame in the 3 thirds.
I mush say i'm a bit envious of you north-Americans...your trees have such amazing reds there in the autumn. We have lovely yellows here, just like yours, but your reds are absolutely gorgeous!

Bravo and TFS

I get it!! I have that same combination here but all three were Maples in different types and different times of change...but attaching it to a national colour is original..I had never thunk of it..Pretty cool and neatly done..

Hello Evelynn,
Nice 'flag'...almost the flag of Belgium.

Hi Evelynn,
That is a fun shot. You've found a great tricolore. It is funny to see that nature can somethimes come up with these colorful and wonderful patterns.

Niek

Hi Evelynn!

I wasn't present very often on TN during the last days and weeks, and I'm impressed by the quality of your last postings. You present us a delightful series of autumnal pictures. I have chosen this one for my critique because I like the idea of the three colour stripes very much, although it's not important for me if they are a symbol of any kind. For me, they are just beautiful to look at. Your picture also remembres me a competiton of my photo club with the theme "three colours". You would have done well at this competiton!

Kind regards

Markus.

Hello Evelynn

This is a wonderful display of colour and texture.
Excellent focus and detail.
I have always loved the sound of the aspen leaves as the flutter in the wind, and the splash of red from that acer is super.
Well seen and composed for us.
