wow wow wow wow wow...it's like you have a light that shines through the butterfly. WOW! The little branches of Johnson Grass (that's what it looks like anyway) frame the photo. As usual your color and photo are perfect.

I'm buying a circular polarizer this week. I had to wait to pay for my camera first. ha ha

A superb image of this beautiful swallowtail.I am surprised at the low f stop.Excellent DOF and POV .The subject is well focused with razor sharp detail.The lighting is wonderful and the colours are natural and well saturated.A top notch shot.TFS

Hi Ken, excellent sharp shot of this Swallowtail. You've composed this one very nicely with the angled shot. Your use of the depth of field is very good and interesting with the purple "sprigs" helping to frame the butterfly.

Hi Ken,
very nicely detailed shot of this butterfly with great colour and focus.The polarizer probably doesn't tint the background but rather your choice of f-stop blurs it that way and the effect is nice.The maroon colour of the grass seedheads is very rich and looks great with the butterfly.Tfs Bob

This is a very lovely piece of work.
