|White-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus -- Seen last night at feeding time at the local nature preserve. Details of the species can be found in many sites, including http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-tailed_Deer|
Composed exactly as in the viewfinder -- only adjustments were brightness/contrast, USM, and a very slight levels correction, all done in The Gimp.
Several deer were feeding in a meadow, and this youngster, amazingly, let me walk closer and closer. It seemed as if he were as curious about me as I about him.

Looks very curious:-)
Pity the sharpness could be a tad better...
bien vu cette photo et cet animal a le regard plein de tendresse
belles couleurs, manque un tout petit peu de netteté, mais bien malgré tout
Aha! A deer I am very familiar with as you must be as well seeing the location. Centering is perfect, making the surrounding green a frame. The slightly darker green at top angled down puts attention right back on the subject. Nice composing job altogether.
