I always love to experiment and this is an last year result of such sort. I own this mummified head of an 12 feet American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) and I took some shots while it was back lit. The head comes from a large size bull gator (translated: a mature male crocodile, for non-Anglos...)you wouldnt wanna meet him in a dirty murky swamp in Louisiana like his killer did. He was hunted years ago on a public land with legal tags.
The results came out pretty impressive to me but maybe I shouldve do better and reenact this scene and use my new camera since this is with a basic cheapie camera but I decided I am too lazzy...

Yeah, Helloween-like shot ;-) Very arty by the way and scary for some people [not me ;-)]. I've got idea Radu - next time try to start camp fire into jaws of live gator ;-)

Great shot, very good light and POV.
Well done.

Very original and graphical shot. Great light. If you'd taken this in the nature, you and your camera wouldn't be here.
Regards. Toni
