More Info On The Yellow-crowned Night-Heron
While sitting at one of my favorite spots overlooking Galveston Bay I was surprised by the arrival of what I, until then, thought to be a fairly rare Heron. The Sun was setting and the Herons were coming to feed on small fish surrounding an exposed oyster reef during low tide. Eventually twelve Yellow-crowned, three were juveniles, and four Black-crowned Night-Herons came to feed around the reef.
