Lake Sherburne in the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park. The entrance road follws this lake as it moves to the entrance station, all the while enticing the driver with views of the mountains beyond.

Hi Mike
The colour of the lake is gorgeous! I could jump in right now...it's been so hot. You've captured a beautiful summers day in Glacier National Park. I like the balance of sky, mountains, lake and trees. Well done.
TFS Janice

Oops... I guess there is something new from you. Isn't it interesting that the entrance road of which you speak is in such bad repair. I wouldn't have thought anything of it except that it has been the same way in the same places for years! We just got back from there a couple of weeks ago. We wanted to beat the summer crowds but as it turned out we were too early to hike the higher trails... too much snow... and Logan Pass was still washed out (about which there was NOTHING mentioned on the park website) I guess we will just have to elbow our way into the crowds mid summer next year. We did get some good shots. My husband got a prize winner of charging bull moose at Fishercap. We thought that was more likely in autumn...but we have the picture to prove it! Yours is a classic shot of Lake Sherburne. On my monitor the contrast feels a little too high though.

Hello Mike,
A lovely composition with this beautiful mountain landscape!
Good foreground interest gives a fine feeling of depth, and the colour palette is awesome in particular the lake with glacial water...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Mike,
great landscape shot with superb composition and lovely colours.
TFS.

Hi Mike,
Pure envy when you keep showing me these photos of the wonderful area. I still feel I need to get back to it and see more of it. Who knows 2008 will be the year.
That glacier water keeps amazing me, such a wonderful color. I think a grad ND filter of the sky and mountains might could have been used as well. This will reduce the hazyness a bit. Besides that a great composition with good details and exposure.
TFS,
Niek
