I am glad you figured out the use of layers. I do hope you also got to work with masking. It did the trick perfectly and got you a very good exposed image where the colors look really natural. I really like the blue in the sky. To get the flowers even more prominent in the shot a slightly angled down composition might help.
I like the early summer feeling this photo has a lot. The path leads the eye perfectly toward the blue sky.

This compo is perfect. I like the flowers in the fg and the path that leads the eye to the mountain in the back.
Nice colours and a very nice place to go for a walk.

Hi Mike. I'm not quite sure what you did. I wrote out the procedure for you once I got connected to TN again. The flowers look better. I used a second adjustment layer to bring the detail out in the underexposed trees too (enhance> Lighting>Shadows and Highlights>Shadows slider)

Beautiful scenery! What a view thru the trees. Vibrant colors and sharp detail in this exposure. It is a well composed scene. Nice work.

Hi Mike, very nicely done. There's a huge difference between the original and the repost. This has some zip to it. The composition following the lane past the flowers up to the mountain works well, great lighting, colour and detail throughout.

I like most the composition, that takes the eye down the path from the Indian Paintbrush, to the distant mountain top..
Vibrant colors, nice details & depth.
Cool shot :)

A romantic scenery indeed!
The path make a great diagonal in the composition, and RGB colours are attractive...
Good point of view places the summit perfectly between the framing trees!
