Swiftcurrent trail #5
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Still too busy? I was just loving the Indian pantbrush flowers along the trail and tried to capture them -- this time in front of a bg of Redrock falls and the mountains. I sure with that green bush wasn't there, but I couldn't find a cluster of flowers w/o a bush nearby. |
In terms of the exposure, I was busy trying to balance the natural light that kept being covered and uncovered by clouds with a flash fill.
If I have to I have a sure crowd-pleaser with my next shot of Redrock Falls.

I remember I. Paintbrush as being a lot deeper red or is this a different variety. I know it comes in all shades. Actually the flowers and the green bush are so sharp they would make a nice composition by themselves. I think your image needs a rotation to the left.
Evelynn ; )
No, not too busy. You got a good details and a recognizable shape in the paintbrush flowers. The lighting on the flowers is wonderful especially since it contrasts great with the dark BG. I am not sure if the photo is tilted. Since you are standing on a incline it looks like the trees might not be vertical but I actually think they are.

Interesting POV and composition, the pink on green works well, and i particularly like the falls in the BG.
A nice image of the flowers and of the tress, the photo has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.
The Indian Paintbrush is gorgeous, their colours against the greenery is a nice contast. I like the composition here with your eye being led down the slope toward the rocky ledge. Love all the colour and lighting.
I haven't been down to Lethbridge all summer....but soon. I miss Broxburn :D
