My darling Charlotte has moved to another limb but I feel sure it's here. She's growing so fast though. I think she enjoys having her photo taken.

I want to thank Doug, DB-Graphix, for all the help he's given me. I used the new program on this little guy! I just upped the contrast a tiny little bit...too much and it looks really weird! I wanted the spider web to be visible.

A Noiseless Patient Spider
Walt Whitman

A noiseless patient spider,
I marked where on a promontory it stood isolated,
Marked how to explore the vacant vast surrounding,
It launched forth filament, filament, filament, out of itself,
Ever unreeling them, ever tirelessly speeding them.

And you O my soul where you stand,
Surrounded, detached, in measureless oceans of space,
Ceaselessly musing, venturing, throwing, seeking the spheres to connect them,
Till the bridge you will need be formed, till the ductile anchor hold,
Till the gossamer thread you fling catch somewhere, O my soul.

Ah you got your little friend nicely in focus Angy, but you really should try stopping down the aperture a bit, even to 6.3 to get your lens a bit more within it's sweet spot. Too bad about the thicker webbing along the center as it hides the spider a bit and is a bit overexposed.
It would be interesting to experiment with different backgrounds placed behind the web such as different colours or patterns of cloth.

Hello Angy,
This is a good shot with perfect DOF, even the sharpness of the web can be clearly seen!
very beautiful of Charlotte with black and orange feets!
very well composed and well seen
cheers
Tony

I like the way you've shot this into the sky. It creates an interesting pattern that sort of compliments the web. Good sharp focus to reveal the web. Well done.

Interesting sentiments by Whitman.

TFS!

Nick..
Have a good weekend.

This is a nice shot of this large spider and web. I wonder if she knows you as well as you apparently know her? : )
It is a really nice sharp image.

Evelynn ; )

I love this shot of the spider because it is in focus. The center of the web is a tad thick to see her though, but she is beautiful. I also love the composition.

Great DOF and composition with great colour too.

I'm sending you best wishes in your hurricane leftovers...and even though I hate spiders, I love pics of them....better on print paper or monitor than on my back biting thank you.

Nice hidden colorings in the web.

Hi Angy,

Gee, Charlotte's Web and it took me a while to get it. What a thick web she weaves! I don't think I've ever seen and orange and black spider. Good shot.

Jane

hello angelina,
you are keeping a good track of this spider, spiders are always patient and thats why they are great hunters, nice pov, well composed shot, sharp image,
tfs & regards

Hi Angelina,
Great capture showing the web. Nice color but she does seem a little camera shy, hiding behind the web. My Orb Weaver gets bigger and bigger every day. Now I know why there are no hummingbirds around ;-) Anyway, a fine photo of Charlotte.

Hi Angelina,
A very nice poem. I think this fella needs to practice some cursive writing to improve its signature. :D Well a good spidy but not good in handwriting. Or else it might be a doctor. HA Ha
Very nicely captured

Thanks a lot for sharing.

Nice shot of "darling Charlotte" with colours and background. Your exposure helped to create a bit different visual.
( don't mind I didn't noticed that your name is Angelina. If possible please visit parthasarathi in TN.)

Fascinating to see that wide patch that looks like a mended section here.
Superb colours and details

Hi Angelina,
Wonderful shot of the spider with its web, gives a fine effect. Lovely colours and I like the way you have portrayed the web formations filling the frame. Excellent POV and a superb composition. Kudos.
TFS.
