[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Wolf spiders are members of the family Lycosidae, so named because their method of hunting is to run down their prey. They are robust and agile hunters that rely on good eyesight to hunt, typically at night.

To shoot this I only used the Sun light .. I didn't have my flash with me .. I had to shoot it almost full wide open so the DOF is very short .. The little spots on the back of the spider are her young .. unlike most spiders who lay eggs and end their motherly care the Wolf Spider will cary the young around until they are able to fight for themselfs ..

Scott,
Had never seen such an image. Thanks for sharing.
Am pasting this here so you may edit your notes to correct the spelling:"Wold Spider will cary the young around until they are able to fight for themselfs .." Minor issue.
Great image.

HI Scott!
I hate spiders but I always admire to their dedication for their offspring sometimes, especially the wolf spiders, great shot with excellent details!
