Hi Scott.
I am impressed with your terrific ultra-macro shot a lot. Amazing equipment, stunning technique of shooting (DOF is superb as ell as exposure time). Magnification ratio is magnificent. Texture and colour reproduction are great too. Only I am surprised with so long exposure time and quiet of the insect. Bravo and bet wishes in coming New Year.

Thanks for writing your critique on my dual butterfly picture.
We have re-connected after a long lapse of time. Unfortunately, I have been very irregular on TN for quite some time.

This is a fantastic picture of the selective portion of an Owl butterfly. You have chosen the frame very thoughtfully. The composition looks abstract but highly artistic.

Perfect macro my friend! Every detail is well visible, composition is just perfect, same as colours. I love tight frame. Surprisingly I like lower part of this image - for some reason it remainds me some kind of monster from old Japanese Godzilla movies :-) Great work!

Excellent macro of this butterfly,from this POV the details are amazing.
The textures of the fur and the detail in the eye is wonderful.
Very good lighting has produced vivid colours.
