[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I stopped by Ridgefield wildlife refuge today at the time I was there there wasn't too much going on. I had stopped and I was taking pictures of these little ducks I'm not too sure of what kind but they were swimming around and Diving for food. This is one of the pictures that as soon as I was getting ready to take the shot he dove under the water. To make a long story short after getting home and going through some of the pictures. When I came across this one at first I thought I totally missed it. Just before deleting I kind of looked at it in a different way and the reflection of the sky and the ripples in the water made it look kind of interesting. So I thought I would share this with you. I kind a learned that sometimes you might think you missed the shot but actually gaining an even more interesting shot.

Hi Tom,
well I am glad that you did not delete your photo as it has an artistic bent to it that I happen to like.I like the silvery grays segueing into the blue reflected sky.Sometimes the best photos are simply the ones that happened just by accident.A simple photo with a minimum of colour palette that makes a quiet statement and is well detailed and exposed. Thanks for this mellow view. Bob

great photo , has a very nice contrast across the frame ,with soft colors, the rippling water sure expresses time and motion , the effect makes one question the cause.
after reading your note I'm almost waiting for that duck to pop back up.

Sometime the simpler things in life have great value that we tend to neglect. This is a wonderful example of that truth. Glad you noticed it before you hit the delete key. TFS

Hi Tom!

I like your picture very much! I'm an adept of abstract nature photography and therefore touched by such a beautiful abstract image. The composition, the lighting and the whole expression of the picture are superb. I especially like the idea of the reflection and the ripples in the reflected sky.

Kind regards

Hi Tom,
i think this is one of the most artistic shots i've seen on TN. Sharp, clear and very well exposed. Glad you didn't delete it, it's beautiful.

Hello Tom

This is a keeper.A beautiful composition with wonderful lighting and reflections.
The colours are deep and rich.
You have captured the ripples very well.
A lovely shot.

Very nice shot Tom, glad you didn't delete it. It's nice knowing what caused these ripples with the bird diving, but in themselves they create a very peaceful mood with those dramatic clouds reflected. I love the contrast of the dark at the bottom and the bright clouds and sky at the top. Well done. I'm going to have to get out to that Wildlife Refuge soon!
