Pristine on the Wolf
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Wisconsin's Wolf River boasts some of the most pristine places in the state to trek or paddle and simply exult in the undespoiled beauty that a river can be.
This shot is taken near an oxbow of the river and is part of the Mosquito Hill nature center. The preserve is nearly three-fourths lowland forest, which here comes right to the edge of the river. It is one of the last intact bottomland hardwood forests along what the state has rightfully designated a "wild and scenic river."
The Wolf River of Wisconsin is one of the two National Scenic Rivers in Wisconsin, along with the St. Croix River. |

This looks like a nice place. I can almost hear the mosquitoes!!! LOL : )
I think your pretty river and reflections are minimized in importance because there is so much sky. I tried a cropped version in a workshop.

Hi Jim,
Pleasant & tranquil scene, a simple but effective comp. The skies reflection adds very well. Perhaps a few more clouds in the sky?
Hey, there's always photoshop ;}
